Mihret Getabicha attended Dartmouth College and the University of Texas at Austin School of Law. During law school, she participated in the Immigration Clinic and the Human Rights Clinic, served as President of the Human Rights Law Society, and was a Staff Editor for the Texas Journal on Civil Liberties & Civil Rights. After graduating, she clerked at an immigration non-profit law firm in Los Angeles, focusing on family separation removal defense from late 2018 to 2019.

Mihret has been licensed to practice law in California since November 2019. From 2019 to 2024, her practice centered on civil employment litigation in California state and federal courts, AND COUNSELING EMPLOYERS OF ALL SIZES ON COMPLIANCE WITH CALIFORNIA'S RAPIDLY-CHANGING EMPLOYMENT LAWS. Recently, she has been dedicated to immigration litigation, addressing mandamus complaints in federal courts related to visa administrative processing issues, naturalization, asylum, and employment-based immigration.

Beyond her professional life, Mihret loves nature and travel, AND IS NOT AFRAID TO MARCH AND ADVOCATE FOR CAUSES SHE BELIEVES IN. She also donates her time to various charities, reflecting her commitment to giving back to the community and supporting those in need.
